We’re still in our startup phase but growing very fast!  We should be breaking even later this year, and can then work on returning our Crowdfunder’s pledges.

Why?  Well, it’s your company so why not?

This group meets every 2 months for 2 hours, in Edinburgh or Musselburgh (near Edinburgh). We focus on how we can stay true to our promises to the customers, and on where we are going as a company, not just right now but also in the future. For example, we discuss how to make sure we are on the forefront of supporting and providing renewable energy.

We mean it when we say that People’s Energy is yours. It isn’t ours, and neither is the money that is made from the process of supplying you with energy. We see ourselves as custodians of your money and your energy. For that reason, it wouldn’t be right for us to make big decisions about your energy without a customer present.

Participation in the group is voluntary but we do ask that you would commit to a minimum of 6 months. After 1 year, a new customer will get the opportunity to join the group. Your role will be to canvas the views of other customers and present them in the group, to help us make sure the customers’ voice is always in the room when we make decisions. Depending on where you are based, we can arrange for travel and pay your travel expenses or potentially set up video conferencing.

The less experience, the better!  We’ve never run an energy company before either, yet we’re one of the fasted growing in the UK.  If you’re passionate about the planet, equality, the future and representing our customers, you’re in!
